Our Purpose

Broken Arrows Ministries Inc. aims to uplift, mentor, and financially assist individuals, including seniors, people experiencing homelessness, veterans, and low-income citizens, helping them meet immediate needs and plan for the future. We see the value in our community and want to catalyze systematic change within the community we service, resulting in a domino effect locally, regionally, and internationally.

We strive to support individuals who are unable to meet their basic needs independently or through other means, empowering them to achieve self-reliance and live a dignified life.

Our History

Broken Arrows Ministries, Inc. was founded by Dr. Carolyn Butler in her home in Huntsville, AL, in 2018. Since its inception, Broken Arrows Ministries has grown from serving 50 clients to about 150, and we continue to expand to meet the increasing needs within our community. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, we remained semi-active and fully reopened in 2021. Our journey reflects a deep commitment to enhancing lives and supporting those we serve.

Our Programs

Residential Assistance

This program provides crucial support to individuals and families in need by offering subsidized housing and utility payments. This program is designed to alleviate the financial burden of rent and utilities for the less fortunate, ensuring access to safe and stable housing.

Direct Cash Assistance

This program provides temporary financial support for low-income families and needy individuals. The assistance is aimed explicitly at helping meet their basic needs, such as food and clothing, during financial hardship to ensure their well-being and stability.

Financial Education

Our financial education program empowers individuals with the knowledge and resources they need to embark on their journey toward financial peace. We focus on six key areas: Utilities, Prescription Medications, Clothing, Food, Hygiene, and Shelter.

Spiritual Education

This program fulfills the divine potential of individuals and prepares them for life by providing the tools they need to continue learning through the many experiences they will encounter. The foundation of this program is inspired by Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Community Outreach

This program is dedicated to feeding and clothing the underprivileged in our community.
